The Cottage

The house has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, complete with their own showers. In addition, the Master bath has a clawfoot tub. There are 4 beds: 1 King, 1 Queen, and 2 Full (an additional inflatable mattress and “pack’n’play” are also available). We’re equipped with a laundry room and supply closet, a screened porch, full kitchen, dining area, and ample room between the fireplace and living area. There’s also a charcoal grill above the fire pit, nestled along the driveway.

We’re located on just under one acre in Rabun County where Timpson Creek meets Lake Burton, the first of the 6 lakes that make up the Tallulah River Watershed. We’re just down the street from Anchorage Boat Dock, and under a mile from the public beach access on nearby Charlie Mountain Road. We’re also just off Highway 76 and a short drive to downtown Clayton, GA (7 miles). The Appalachian Trail is just up the road, as well as Waterfall Club Resort and Golf Course. Basically, we’re right smack dab in the middle of much to do in Rabun County. From hiking, waterfall sightseeing, cycling, fishing, boating, skiing, and overall lake-relaxing, we’re at the heart of what northeast Georgia has to offer.

We feel like this house is special, and hope it can be a home-away-from-home not only to us, but also to those folks searching for likeminded experiences. If you’ve ever spent time in these mountains and on these waters you know how special it is, and if it’s your first time here, we definitely don’t think it will be your last.
